Garden volunteers help maintain the six acres of gardens at the museum doing a variety of tasks including planting, weeding, and giving garden tours.
You don't have to be an expert to be a volunteer! The museum will train you for the volunteer position that suits your interests and abilities.
Do you enjoy learning and sharing your knowledge with others? If so,
please join the family of MSV volunteer Docents! This active
group of volunteers is the lifeblood of the museum, and there
are many positions
available. You can give gallery tours, lead garden tours,
greet visitors to the MSV, and help out
at the Visitor
Services Desk or Museum Store. Or, perhaps you’d like to help with
our school group tours or youth programs, or assist with special events or garden maintenance. In return for your time and talents,
the museum provides
any special training you might need, which includes regular meetings
and participation in an annual Docent Training Program. As a Museum Docent, you also receive a ten percent
discount on all purchases
in the Museum Store, and two complimentary passes for admission
to the Museum complex.
If you are interested in volunteering at the MSV, please download and complete this application and follow the submission requirements included. Check the calendar for upcoming training sessions.
