Ambition: A Dream with a V8 Engine

Discover Elvis at the MSV! The Smithsonian Community Grant Program, funded by MetLife Foundation, is a proud sponsor of these public programs.

Sunday, July 18 • 2 p.m.

Don’t miss this entertaining lecture about Elvis Presley by Winchester resident Mary Bruce Glaize. An educator, environmentalist, founder of the Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum, and sometimes Elvis impersonator, Mary Bruce will share her personal passion for Elvis and discuss the mania that still surrounds his legacy. Elvis has been spotted on Pawleys Island, South Carolina, celebrating his fortieth birthday, in a Frederick County barn for a fiftieth birthday, and at the Apple Blossom Festival eating a corn dog. The King may be dead, but he is still a personal obsession for many. Plan to tour Elvis at 21 before or after the presentation.

Free to MSV Members: all others: $8, $6 senior/youth (includes gallery admission)
