Friday, September 10 • 7–9 p.m.
This special night in the gardens features two different performances that will celebrate 1950s rock ’n’ roll music. Dave Moore and his Hillbilly Huxters will open the night with high-energy roots rockabilly music the way it was played fifty years ago. Then, tribute artist Buck Stevens will perform Elvis’s earliest hits. Try out your 50s dance moves that you learned earlier in the evening (see listing; Shake, Rattle, and Roll!: 1950’s Dance Class) or stroll the gardens. Several antique cars will be on display in the gardens and the performers will dress in vintage clothing and use vintage instruments, too! North Mountain Vineyard will be on site selling its delicious wines by the bottle/glass and Shaffers—a Shenandoah Valley favorite since 1952—will be in the gardens selling their famous pork barbeque, sandwiches, wraps, and non-alcoholic beverages. A limited number of chairs are provided (first-come, first-served) or you may bring your own.
Free to MSV Members and children under 6. All others: $5 Additional costs apply for food and wine purchases.
No outside food or beverages in the gardens, please.
Rain location: tent by MSV Reception Hall.
