Movie Night at the MSV: Elvis: That’s the Way It Is

The MSV has teamed up with Winchester’s Magic Lantern Theater and Q102 to present this fun movie night at the Museum! The galleries will be open from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Elvis tribute artist Richard Parker will be at the MSV to perform some Elvis hits from 7:30 to 8:15 p.m. and the movie Elvis: That’s the Way It Is starring Elvis Presley will be shown outside the Museum at 8:30 p.m. This film is a compelling musical documentary that shows Elvis at the top of his game after he stopped making movies and returned to making music. Made in 1970, Elvis: That’s the Way It Is takes you backstage to follow Elvis from rehearsals through opening nights for his milestone four weeks of appearances at the International Hotel in Las Vegas (not rated; 108 minutes).Winchester’s Murphy Beverage Company will be on site selling wine, and popcorn and food will be available, too. Please bring your own chair or blanket to sit on. In the event of rain, the movie showing will move inside to the MSV Reception Hall.

$5 MSV Members and Magic Lantern Theater Members; all others: $10 (includes movie and gallery admission). Additional costs apply for food and wine purchases. You may bring your own picnic, but no outside alcohol, please.
