Made by Goldsmith Chandlee (1751-1821) around 1795, this tall case clock has been in the Glen Burnie Historic House for
six generations.

The MSV galleries are open from 4 to 9 p.m. for Galleries at Night on the second Friday of the months October through May.

The campus of the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley is composed of a Museum (with galleries, café, Museum Store, Reception Hall, and BB&T Learning Center), the Glen Burnie Historic House, and the gardens.

The Museum is open year-round. The gardens are open seasonally and will be open March 1 through October 31 in 2012. The house is now closed until 2014 for a comprehensive preservation project.

The MSV site is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday; the Museum complex is closed on Monday. The Café is open from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. and the Museum Store is open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. In addition to the standard Monday closings, the Museum complex will be closed on the following days:

  •  Saturday, December 24, 2011
  •  Sunday, December 25, 2011
  •  Sunday, January 1, 2012
